The Nigeria Accountability Summit (NAS) 2024 is aimed at convening policymakers, accountability actors and stakeholders at national and subnational levels to assess progress made in achieving the 8-point agenda of the federal government and related priority areas for subnational governments, identify policy implementation challenges in these priority areas, agree on feasible solutions to address these challenges and pursue expected changes. Specifically, the 2024 Summit will focus on the government’s achievements and challenges in reforming the economy, strengthening national security, boosting agriculture, unlocking energy and natural resources, enhancing infrastructure and transportation, investing in human capital (education, health and social investment), accelerating diversification and improving governance for effective service delivery. The Summit will provide the opportunity to review policy measures, legal frameworks, and practice guidelines from different sectors of the economy targeted at addressing these priority issues, recognize gaps that exist and propose ways to accelerate the needed change.
